About Dr. Tran

Dr. Sandy Tran is a California native from Huntington Beach, who graduated with honors from Western University College of Optometry. Upon graduation, Dr. Tran completed a rigorous year-long residency program in vision therapy and rehabilitation with an internationally recognized leader in vision rehabilitation, Dr. Leonard Press. During her residency, she treated children with learning disabilities, perceptual dysfunctions and reading-related problems. She also treated children and adults on the autism spectrum and traumatic brain injury and concussion patients. Her work experience includes caring for patients at The Villages Veterans Hospital in Ocala, FL, Braverman Eye Center in Hallandale, FL and the Naval Base in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Tran held the position of National Liaison for the Optometric Extension Program, an international organization dedicated to the advancement of vision and the visual process. She is also a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and has participated in a mission trip to Peru where she provided eye care to hundreds of underprivileged Peruvians in Coya, Peru. Dr. Tran is TLG certified, allowing her to practice to the highest scope of optometry. She has extensive experience in family eye care, with a specialty and passion for pediatrics, vision training and neuro-rehabilitation.

In her spare time, Dr. Tran enjoys sunny days at the beach, hot yoga, and spending time with her family and friends. A quirky fact is that her favorite game is No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em.
